An Olinke Code is essentially a scannable version of an Olinke Link. Here’s how they connect:

• If you change the back-half of a link, the QR Code updates.
• To redirect a QR Code, you need to redirect the associated short link.
• Every time you create a QR Code, Olinke also generates a short link for the same URL.
• You can generate a QR Code for any existing short link in your account.

For Olinke Pages, the links on your landing page are also short links:

• When you create a new short link, you can choose to add it to an Olinke Page.
• When adding a link to an Olinke Page, you can create a new link or use one that you’ve already shortened.
• If you edit a short link on an Olinke Page, the button on your page will also update.
• If you redirect a short link that appears on an Olinke Page, the page will still direct to the original destination.

Additionally, any link on an Olinke Page can have a QR Code associated with it. You can even create a QR Code for an entire Olinke Page, making it easier to share the page.

With Olinke, you can take a long link (the destination URL) and shorten it into a more shareable version. For those on paid plans, you can also use a custom domain and personalized back-half to create a branded, unique link.

When you create a link with Olinke, clicks on that link are redirected to the original destination URL. We achieve this by issuing a 301 redirect, which allows a webpage to be accessed via multiple URLs. Olinke does not reuse or modify shortened links, making these redirects permanent. Additionally, a 301 redirect doesn’t impact your website’s SEO.
